The Seychelles Hotel & Tourism Association (SHTA) was formed
in 2002 following a merger between the Seychelles Hotel Association
(SHA) and the Small Hotels and Guesthouses Association (SHGA).
As a result of the merger, the SHTA is now a comprehensive
association comprising around 92 members encompassing properties
from large five star resort hotels to the smallest guesthouse.
The
SHTA acts as both a local trade association within Seychelles
and as a body involved in the overseas marketing of its member
hotels and guesthouses.
The current chairman of the Association is Mr Louis D'Offay. Executive Director is Germaine Michaud.
The SHTA has now got an Executive Board instead of an executive committee.
The board is made up as follows:
